Natalie joined the firm in 2004 having gained significant
previous experience in a number of other professional
legal and financial organisations including a period of
employment in the banking sector and a trust and
probate department and through undertaking studies in
the Accounting Technicians programme.
She is the firm’s payroll manager and oversees our
client payroll bureau and advises client on a number of
payroll and employment related issues.
Natalie has considerable experience in other practice
areas and provides, accountancy, bookkeeping, VAT and
taxation and IT services to a range of business and
personal clients.
She enjoys skiing and travel and also has a keen
interest in collecting and dealing in antiques.
Simon qualified as a Chartered Accountant with medium
sized, London based firm, Stoy Hayward in 1991. He
joined Botting & Co in 1992, when his extensive audit
experience and expertise was invaluable in helping the
firm comply with the new audit regulation regime that
was introduced at that time.
He has continued this role as the firm’s principal audit
and compliance partner and overseas all assurance
work. He also enjoys strong working relationships with
his clients, specialising in providing services to owner
managed businesses of all sizes and is particularly
proactive in helping clients maximise profits while
managing exposure to tax.
He is the firm’s principal tax specialist with particular
emphasis on tax efficient business structures and profit
extraction policy.
Outside of work, Simon is a fanatical fan of Arsenal
football club and played himself until time caught up with
him a few years ago. He is now a keen tennis player
and runs in long distance races up to half marathon
level.

Amber is the youngest member of our team
and joined the firm in 2009 after completing
her A levels at college.
She is now studying for the Accounting
Technicians exams and hopes to move onto
to the professional ACCA exams in due
course.
She has already gained significant
experience in all the main day to day practice
activities and provides technical support to
our accounts, taxation, assurance and payroll
functions.
Amber is an enthusiastic runner and
completed her first 10K race in May 2010.
Hannah worked in the commercial sector,
where she studied and passed her AAT
exams before joining the firm in 2008.
She has subsequently made rapid progress
through the ACCA exams and will shortly
embark upon the final professional stage.
Hannah works closely with a wide range of
clients, providing day to day assistance with
their accounting, book keeping and employer
related needs. She has considerable
experience of the Construction Industry
Scheme and ensures that client’s comply
with the related regulations and status
issues.
Hannah enjoys reading, water sports and
cycling.
Amanda joined the firm in 2005, after
completing her studies in Mathematics at
Surrey University and a short period working
in the hospitality sector.
She has subsequently obtained significant
experience and technical skills in a wide
range of practice disciplines, particularly
accounts preparation for all types and sizes
of business, payroll, VAT and business tax.
Amanda has specialised in the property
management sector while preparing service
charge accounts for flat management
companies and service charge funds.
Amanda is currently studying for her ACCA
professional exams.
Outside of work, Amanda plays competitive
table tennis and enjoys reading.

Andy joined Botting & Co in 1998, his early career was in
the banking sector but after switching to accountancy, he
qualified and managed at another small local practice in
Worthing.
He became a partner in 2000 and established himself
as the firm’s IT partner and has been responsible for
ensuring that the firm IT systems deliver the most
efficient, accessible and relevant services to our clients.
He also supplies direct IT and software advisory
services to our clients and has specialisms in Sage and
other Microsoft based products.
Andy is a general practitioner and specialises in small
business comprising of sole traders, partnerships and
owner managed companies. His client portfolio includes
flat management companies, engineering business and
personal tax clients. He also looks after the firm’s
marketing and HR.
Andy’s main interest away from work is cricket and he
has played for his local team, East Preston, since his
teenage years. He still plays around fifty games a year,
and is heavily involved in the running of the club, as club
captain, coach and treasurer.
Andy’s other passion is music, having grown up in the
“punk” era, and he sees himself as a young John Peel,
always on the lookout for new bands, and regularly
attending gigs in Brighton, Portsmouth and
Southampton.
Jo qualified as a Certified Chartered Accountant in 2004
having started her career with Worthing based firm,
Carpenter Box and completed her training with Arundel
firm Po-Opt Accountancy, where she became the firm’s
principal client and staff manager. She joined Botting &
Co in 2007, when it acquired the client base of Pro-Opt
Accountancy.
Jo greatly assisted with the merger of the two firms and
quickly established herself as a vital member of our
team. She obtained her practising certificate in 2009
and is now our practice manager, handling her own
portfolio of clients and supervising and training the firm’s
junior staff members.
Jo has expertise in the field of audit and compliance and
the provision of accountancy, management accounting
and taxation services to smaller owner managed
businesses and personal tax clients.
Jo enjoys fitness and exercise and completed her first
marathon at the Brighton race in 2010.
Jennie joined the firm in 2007 after a previous career in
the legal profession, as a case worker and legal
representative for a defence lawyer.
Jennie works part time and shares her role with Nicola
Harvey.
In addition to providing administrative and secretarial
support services to the firm, Jennie supplies company
secretarial services to our portfolio of corporate clients
and also assists with the operation of our client payroll
bureau service.
Jennie’s interests include, cooking, walking her dog and
sport.
